I’ve known Jackie for over 20 years and consider her a very good friend, so when we found ourselves visiting our local ARU (assisted reproductive unit) Jackie was there to share her experiences and the questions we should be asking. Jackie knew exactly what we were going through and had answers for every step of the way and was really open about the experience she had been through. I was able to ask Jackie anything and she knew exactly what to say even if she didn’t have the answer due to it being medical. 
The whole ivf journey was made a lot less stressful having Jackie in my corner. Her knowledge is amazing and I’m not sure what I would have done without her. 
We now have a very happy healthy 5 year old daughter and can’t thank Jackie enough for her support along the journey. I still ask her parenting questions now as our daughters are 18 months apart.

I have a very special bond with Jackie, as she and her husband were the first people I did a surrogacy journey with! 
To my devastation, after several treatments, Elara didn’t get the sibling we were all hoping for.
Jackie was simply the best person I could have ever had my first journey with. She knows A LOT; basically everything there is to know about IVF and surrogacy, as she had already ‘been there, done it, got the T-shirt’ many times. She was so supportive, even when she was going through heartache herself. She is super positive and knows just how to lift everyone up and push them on to keep going!
She is insanely knowledgeable, she even taught me what a GIF was! I was clueless about how she was sending those little pictures to my screen, ha-ha!
But seriously, from how to optimise our chances of pregnancy through nutrition and lifestyle, to what the Cafcass officer would be delving into with respect to the parental order, there’s not a lot she doesn’t know. And if there is something she needs to investigate further, she’ll be totally honest about it. She keeps it real. 
Since then, I’ve had three babies for other couples, and Jackie has always been so supportive. Above all, she is simply the best at being a friend. Jackie is non-judgemental and someone you can really open up to and rely on… Gill x
